Chiral symmetry breaking driven by dilaton

چکیده

A supersymmetric gauge theory with flavor quark is studied in a dual supergravity by adding a D7-brane probe into the AdS background deformed by the dilaton. This background exhibits quark-confinement and gluon condensation in the dual gauge theory. By estimating the vev of flavor quark-bilinear in the gravity dual, we find spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking and simultaneous supersymmetry breaking in the dual gauge theory, and this vev successfully reproduces the result of lattice QCD. We also study quark-antiquark potential for light flavor quarks to find the linear potential at long distance in the vacuum given here. [email protected] [email protected]

Chiral Symmetry Breaking in a Soft-Wall Model of AdS/QCD

We incorporate chiral symmetry breaking in a soft-wall version of the AdS/QCD model by using a modified dilaton profile and a quartic term in the bulk scalar potential. This allows one to separate the dependence on spontaneous and explicit chiral symmetry breaking. The resulting mass spectra in the scalar, vector and axial-vector sectors compares favorably with the respective QCD resonances.
